Care Ministry Coordinator

Miss Carolyn, an Iowa farm girl, was married to her high school sweetheart for 53 years. They served at Christian camps in Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado, and at Scotia, NE where Dennis was pastor of Scotia Baptist Church. When Dennis’ health forced his early retirement, Carolyn then worked at an attorney’s office for five years until she was called to direct the children’s ministry here at GI Free. Carolyn had the privilege of working with the children’s ministry for nine years before retiring. She then enjoyed serving folks as part-time receptionist in the church office for seven years. Following Dennis’ death, Carolyn retired again and now has the privilege of coordinating a Care Ministry for our church. She has 3 married children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Favorite activities:

Gardening, reading, and traveling to Michigan to watch two youngest grandchildren participate in sports activities.
